This post will include mini reviews for Kardashian Konfidential and Mommywood.
Kardashian Konfidential is by Kourtney, Kim and Khloe. This book is about their lives from when they were little to present. It has a lot of pictures and notes written by them and other family members. The writing was sometimes confusing because it was in all of their voices except for the times they actually said who was talking. I learned some stuff I didn't know like how they hand write their own cards, how they had to take care of their own cars when they were younger, and how Kourtney went to college. Some stuff I already knew about because of the show and interviews like how they always wax and never shave and how Kim wasn't comfortable in her body at first. In the book, Kourtney says she is the master waxer, but I remember in an episode of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami where Kourtney burned Khloe with the wax while trying to give her a bikini wax. It was an ok book. If you are a die-hard Kardashian fan, read it.
Mommywood by Tori Spelling is a book about her being a wife and mother. She parallels her experience of being a kid with her parents to how she wants to raise her own kids. This book felt familiar because I have watched their show, Tori and Dean. A lot of the stuff that's in the book was explained in the show like how Mimi La Rue died, how Tori had to hide her pregnant belly from the paparazzi because she didn't want the press to know yet, how Dean is a daredevil, and how Liam is a daddy's boy. I liked a lot of the stories in here because they were so funny like a couple of swimming incidents with poop and how Liam can recognize Tori in the tabloids. Overall, this was a good book. It was a light, summer read.
